After seven successful years at the Long Beach Convention Center — including a near-record attendance in 2010 — producers of the L.A. Golf Show made a calculated risk and relocated the 2011 show to the Anaheim Convention Center, at the heart of Orange County’s high-end golf marketplace. The risk paid off — attendance at the new site was up more than 20 percent from the previous year, with over 8,500 golfers passing through the doors over the show’s three days.
Golfers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities came out to take advantage of the show’s trademark huge, exclusive savings on clubs, accessories and apparel, and to connect with over 120 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services from the golf industry and related businesses. In addition, producers gave every attendee a goody bag with a maximum value of up to $100, including free golf, magazine subscriptions, golf balls, and more, and hosted interactive games, free lessons, main stage seminars from leading area pros, a fun and relaxing 19th Hole bar, and more.
Located in the heart of one of America’s most established golfing communities, Orange County, the L.A. Golf Show was promoted via a $150,000 media campaign including significant exposure on ESPN, The Golf Channel and dozens of media partners in print and radio, resulting in over 1 million impressions in the local market. The promotion of the event covered all mediums and also included appearances and interviews by show organizers.
The 2011 L.A. Golf Show was made possible by the support of its sponsors, the hundreds of volunteers who have given their time to the event over the years, the involvement of the exhibitors and the interest and enthusiasm of the golfing public.
